Hello,
I have both the Recon jacket and the cotton anojakke. The fur trim for the anojakke does fit the Recon jacket. If you check the hood of the jacket there should be a velcro strip in there somewhere just inside the rim of the hood. This is where the fur fits (the fur is mounted on a strip of velro). I bought my Recon jacket a couple of years ago.
It does make the jacket more comfortable in cold/windy conditions. I used the Recon pants and jacket (with fur trim) on Woodlore's Heroes of Telemark trip this year and both pieces of kit performed very well.
For the Arctic course (I've been twice), I used the cotton jacket and I'd still use that if I went again because it is softer, quieter, more pliable (particularly when it gets very cold), and has better pockets for kit. But the main reason is that I try to avoid getting any expensive GoreTex kit anywhere near open fires.......
That said, the Recon is a very good jacket - very tough if somewhat heavy. I'd almost always use a lighter weight jacket in the UK. The Recon trousers are the real jem though. I lived in these trousers for 2 weeks in Norway and they were always comfortable, never sweaty, and showed no sign of wear whatsoever. They are the best pair of goretex trousers I've ever used and well worth the money IMO.
