My 6 & 3 year Olds are Naturals

Spent this afternoon with my two daughters and SWMBO exploring Chobham Common.

Before we started I explained the dangers of Funghi to both my daughters, then we were off, they are naturals, I think they spotted every piece of funghi on our two and a half hour walk.

I'm a mere amateur where funghi is concerened, my Collins mini guide was well thumbed,in fact it soon became a battle to get it back off my daughters. They both now want a copy for Christmas.

My 6 year old, Amber, wants now to do an overnighter with Daddy

Kids are great at spotting things like fungi, their eyes are so much quicker than most adults, and they're closer to the ground too. They can also prove to be valuable asset in the gathering dept, saving you from all that tedious bending down to pick things up mularky

Seriously though, it's great to know that your kids are interested enough to WANT to explore the outdoors. Hope all goes well for that overnighter!
