An 'in the field' test of my Swiss Army Stove that was a Christmas pressie to myself.
This was it running on twigs and pine cones. I've also tried hexi blocks, meths and gel fuel. All bring the mug of water to the boil in 5-6 minutes.
It lives in a generic Maxpedition clone case and is my new go-to brew kit :)

I like mine, and it's ancient now.
Tell you what's a good idea though; make a wool cover for the mug. It fair helps keep the heat in.
I used heavy weight blanket stuff for mine, it didn't need edge stitching since it's been felted. It won't burn easily either. You could just use the silver foil insulation type stuff though.

Good idea Toddy, I always find the last mouthful of tea is cool when using a metal mug. And the first always burns my lip! What a world we live in!
