After searching the net I had a better idea how thay go together so out came an old blanket and chalk ;)......

Hmmmmm cut and tacked it all together and now I have a working pattern .

Syl can try it on tonight and I will go from there ,

I have a wool blanket in the wash if I tumble dry it will it tighten the weave????

More to come

The trick to the fit is to get enough room across the shoulders without too many wrinkles at the neck that catch and hold stuff like snow or debris when going among trees. Think about bias cut ?

Washing the blanket .... depends on what it's made from. I have had it work very successfully at times, but I have also ended up with a wool brick

Interested to hear how you get on with this :D
