Not sure if this is the right section to mention this, but here goes.
It is with sad regret that I learned yesterday of the passing away of Julian. The owner and creator of the infamous Kathmandu Trekking brand.
His innovative products have served many of us well for many years. The company was formed in 1988 and has been churning out various versions of Basha since 1992.
I am a great fan, as I'm sure many of us are.
I am not sure whether the company will continue to manufacture products or not.
I would like to extend my sympathy to his family and friends, as well as all who have enjoyed his kit over the years.

I spoke to him on the phone just the other week... Nice chap - I'm sure he will be missed.

But if all these replies have any thing to go by then it is very clear that he will be sorely missed.

I hadn't seen the other thread, as not logged on for a couple of days.
Sorry about that.
But yeh, he will be missed.
