wanted . as the title says, wanted nice ontario or camillus us pilots survival knife. the one with the leather ringed handle. not much good as a bushcraft knife but always fancied one! anyone out there have one doing nothing? please advice with details and price. cheers regards nigel.

Hi,

This is a genuine USAF Pilot's survival knife and complete with the original sheath and (barely used) sharpening stone. It's been to a few interesting places with me over the years and is in good used, not abused, condition. A few years ago I had Ben Orford grind out the original sabre grind to a scandi grind to improve edge retention, which worked nicely (thanks, Ben!).

Great Knife I have one, but my dog ate my sheath literally.....

I'm using a bit of cardboard wrapped in duct tape for a sheath at the minute

Never seen one of these, I like blade size but dislike the sawtooth top. Could one of these be reground?

They've been around for a little over 70 years or so. And yes it can be re-ground. In that time they've had uncounted modifications.
