I've been reading posts to this site for a while and have been entertained and educated in equal measure I reckon. It's time, however, to stop looking and start doing so "hello to you all".
I'm coming from a naturalist/observer point of view really but I'm interested in outdoor techniques and traditional technologies that enable us to live a bit more with Nature rather than constantly against it like so many people do in this "civilised age" we live in.
To give an idea I'm currently at the "burnt fingers but not much else" stage of bow-drilling, but I'm not bad with insect/animal/bird identification and I can give advice, if needed, on general game butchering, and specifically on roadkill Muntjac!
David.
