Pine hearthboard and two drills - one elder and one buddleia.
Later in the year I may replace the buddleia with rose as I have now found a source and this is one of my favourite hand drill woods. You get some beautiful straight growths from the base up to about 8 feet long and they roll really nicely in the hand.
I tried out some mullein that was late harvested and rather cracked, and it wasn't easy to use. Next autumn I may get a fresher supply.
If another source comes up then I may supply philadelphus (mock orange) that is another easy one.
