Got a few bits of wood with the view of trying a spoon or two.
Beech and birch which were already cut down in my local wood, now was gonna have a play tonight but ( a long story) shut my thumb in the car boot while my hand was outside! So my question is how long is green wood workable+ whats the best way to store it untill I can use all my digits? Now I know it isn't a short time but I cant find the answer. In the shed probably! :lmao:
Thanks D
Ps I guess they are about 7cm in diameter.

If it's only for a few weeks, throw them in the watter butt. I keep small logs submerged to keep the moisture in for up to a month. They start to go slimy after that (but can still be used).
