GPs & Memory Map

Ok daft question but:

I've got a Garmin Etrex, other than leads what else do I need to download/upload routes to and from the GPS and Memory Mpa on the computer?

Hi,

You should only need the software. You can only load one route at a time into the standard eTrex

MapSource is a amazing software with the eTrex.
I use it and I am very happy about it. You open a map on your computer, plan the route by clicking points into the map and transfer the whole thing over into the eTrex.
The eTrex then is guiding me along the path.

Other way around. I am running around in the wilderness the gps tracks all my moves and at home I am exporting the tracks into the PC software to see where I walked around. The maps are very detailed!

They are quite expensive to buy but I have heard that people downloaded them from the internet, for free.

if you have memory map on the pc there should be an option on the tool bar that says download or upload to gps or summik like that, there is on my anquet, i just plug GPS in and goto tool bar and thats it. Im sure its simialr on MM
