I'm doing a spot of freelance writing for BioMedCentral the Open Access journal
publisher and had a nosey around their website and spotted this which I liked,
and thought others might too.

All the articles are downloadable as delicious free PDFs which is lovely for me
but open access publishing is not without controversy. Obviously I'm a fan in
this instance where it benefits me ;-)

Tht's an interesting journal you found, it's good to get one that has free access to articles.

Another journal with free access to articles is Silva Fennica http://www.metla.fi/silvafennica/ which is a Finnish forestry journal (articles in English). There's a lot of technical forestry papers but some interesting stuff as well.

I never really thought about it but it is a nice change from the normal prosaic names
