first few knives

lets see if this works.
this is my first knife i've had a go at making. 01 carbon steel blade with plum scales and a rather over thick sheath.
it was easier making than trying to post the damn photos.

Exellent first knife.You will now spend twice as much time 'cleaning it up' as you did making it.(I know.been there done that) It does give great satisfaction when you realise that it works as well as one you could have spent money on.

did you heat treat the knife yourself??

yup, used the gas effect fire in the living room and the oven. the fire managed to get it hot enough (loss of magnetism) and, owning a landy, i have plenty of engine oil lying about to quench it in after.
