I found this whilst browsing in Millets at the weekend:

Contains:

The one litre Nalgene widemouth drinks bottle, with a screwtop lid attached by a loop, also has a screwgate karabiner attachment to attach it to your pack (not for climbing use). Inside you’ll find a variety of survival essentials, including an emergency poncho, survival blanket, multi function whistle, kinetic torch, 6” glowsticks, 4 in 1 camping tool (knife, fork, spoon and bottle/can opener), lip balm and a drawstring bag to keep the items together when you’re using the bottle.

Obviously not a complete kit, but it will make a nice gift.

Personally i wouldnt bother (again) I bought one and was VERY disapointed with the quality of the contents.

EDIT: whoops, its the Gelert one I have, this eurohike one looks like it could be better quality!

Whilst I have been known to use lip balm to counter the effects of a chill wind, I'm not sure its necessary for 'survival'.

I beta well meaning relly buys me this for christmas

They do various versions of this bottle (ski, fitness, travel etc.) and I think each one has lip balm in it for some reason...

They also do a kids version which has less stuff in it, but costs more!

I bought one today & one of the Spa ones for my sister.
Afew of the bits are okay.
Poncho (in plastic pouch, VERY hard to get out of bottle!)
Space blanket (in plastic pouch - ditto!!)
Crap SAK copy with Knife &spoon (itll do for eating chips in the car!)
Lip balm
Shakelight (not that bright, but not bad)
Whistle/matchsafe/flint/compass (not bad)
Chemical Snaplight (CRAP!!!! NOT in a foil wrapper, & of course I "snapped" it & it was dead!)
Pretty good screwgate carabiner thingy (NOT for climbing!)
Orange drawstring bag (very good quality)
The bottles pretty good quality & I'll pack it with some decent gear myself.

Millets should pay me commission - I've recomended it to my Scouts.
Ah-hah is there a "challenge" on using this kit?

If you use the bottle for carrying water where do you store the kit ?
