I have a 1952 ABL Colin Winand version of this knife. Dropped it, and one of the bakelite scales has broken.
It appears there is some surface rust beneath the broken scale.
My questions are:
- can bakelite be glued?
- if so what what adhesive?
- has anyone re-scaled/handled one of these knives?
- if so whats involved and what level of skill required (never done anything like this before and limited skills/tools)
I appreciate that these knives can be purchased quite cheaply, so replacing it is easy, but it seems a shame/wasteful to ditch it when everything else is good.
Thanks in anticipation for any suggestions/advice
