Whereever I lay my Hat
My 10 year old son asked me to show him how to start a fire without matches/lighter the other day,now I have not used this method for donkey years. But I thought I would give it a go,and quess what ,I did it first time, you can imagine my surprise as I just used some timber I had laying about and a old broom handle that had broken.I did not think I would feel anything but I did feel a sense of achievment and exaltation. :)

I will carry on using a lighter though :D

Fantastic..... Not just for making fire by friction after a 20 year break or so.... but also for passing the skills down to the younger generation. How did your son get on with it? (I'd guess he would have givenit a go??)

:D
