I've just recently purchased a Swedish M39 military rucksack off eBay, and it could do with a tidy up.
it has never been issued, and is in fairly good nick. But the leather is really stiff and dry, and in places has started to crack. Also the canvas could do with a clean, and waterproofing.
I have got some Neatsfoot and some bars of beeswax, with the intention of whisking up some sort of potion for the treatment, but I thought it best to come and ask the professionals first.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
