Looking for the best place for antler pieces to make firesteels etc , are the dog chew ones treated at all

The ones I’ve seen in pet shops don’t appear to have been treated and I’d hope not for the dogs sake.

If you can wait until January-February find your own. Unlike horns, antler and seasonal and grow every year. When testosterone drops off so do the antlers. Typically Jan thru March. Go a walk to known populations with a little saw and recycle what you can from what you find on the ground.
