Another leather bottle

After seeing MikeDB's fantastic bottle I was inspired to try making my own. I have a couple of traditional ones made by Eric but they only hold a pint and I wanted something that would hold about 2 litres.

Here is my attempt. I have based the shape on one I have seen Wayland with

Like Mike's my bottle has at its heart a Platypus bottle. In my case a 2 litre bottle. these are guaranteed for life and meant to withstand boiling and freezing so should be sturdy enough for my purposes.

The cap is a piece of roughly carved pine. It is a bit large for my liking but making it smaller would probably lead to it splitting.

I plan to make a leather cover for a push pull lid I have for the bottle but this is still in the planning stages.

I've only used Carnauba Cream. The leather is wet formed so it holds its shape but it is not had like a wax dip. So far I kind of like the squidgyness of it and with the Platypus inside I do not really need to worry about waterproof
