Hi Folks,
I'm looking at retiring my old 3 Man tent this year, and want to get ready for the winter season.
I'm after a tent to fit the following criteria:
Big enough for 2 people and kit storage comfortably.
Doesn't have to be lightweight, it'll be used for camp sites and meets...
My wife and I will be up for attending. I have sent a request to the FB group.
We are quite new to Bushcraft though, I hope that wont be a problem. We have been camping a fair bit though, and are wanting to learn and practice more bushcraft skills.
Cheers!
managed to grab 5 mins at work for a look online...and seen these when do a quick search.
Excuse the horrible name these gloves have been given but they look perfect I think..

Hi all,
Looking for recommendations on what gloves to use around camp.
What I'm hoping for is a pair of gloves that a heat resistant (grabbing and holding pots and pans from the fire) and sharps resistant (ideally protection for hands but not restrictive in use of hands when using knife/...
The cup has holes in the top to suspend it from. :)
I have this set and my wife and I have used it extensively all year so far with no complaints. It easily fits in a bottle pouch. The only thing I would say if using it with a triangia burner is that it can take a while to bring to the boil. If...
Is there any reason why this is so expensive. I see a lot of similar looking knives that are much cheaper. I ask because Im new to this, I just have a Mora carbon Steel knife but would like a good bushcraft knife also.
So sorry for you and your family. The deep well of sorrow is a reflection of how much you loved her. Reminds me of when my father died and I watched my mother helpless in her grief. Focus on the happy memories and let the tears flow. Thinking of you.
I know its not trendy but Bear Grylls did a cracking rucksack at around £50 in the sales recently. I think it was around 40/45 litre. Lightweight, comes with a waterproof cover, reviewed well.
Edit: I found it pon Amazon...
We going to be our old 3 man tent. We will be glamping it a bit with our chairs :)
I cant remember what pitches we're in but I think its near the woodlands areas. I'll try and find some info for you...might be later on though as Im at work at the mo'
Neil.
My wife and I are going just more out of interest really and a social get together. We have zero expectations either way so its a case of what ever will be will be.
If you go, we will be the ones looking totally out of place lol.
Thanks Highbinder, I went to the Cairngorms as a youngster. Great times. I'm actually using the info in this thread to plan 2 different trips now lol. One with the guests and the other as a proper trip with just my wife. For the trip with my wife, we dont mind the driving at all.
Thanks for taking the time here Toddy.
We will travel by car. My wife and I are out doors 'enthusiasts' (what ever that means lol). We like to walk/ hike / camp. Our two guests, well one is from California early 30s woman and the other an 18 yo texan kid, both enjoy the outdoors but will be...
