    SFA vs Hawk?

The "norm" here for wilderness people is the 8/9" samekniv blade and wouldnt raise to many eyebrows especially in the bush. Just dont whip it out in urban/camping/outdoor huts enviroments ;) Use what youre most comfortable and safest with for safe happy bushcrafting. I`d get a tough waterproof...

    Cooking in Stainless bottles. Prep?

Hi Been following Dave Canterbury on youtube, and he amongst others recomends stainless steel bottle for cooking in. Dual purpose with a little added weight, and they mate with the Vango/Alpkit mugs... After alot of googling, the wide mouth Primus ss bottle seemed the most bang for the buck...

    Bergans Dermizax?

Cheers! Their Ally Canoes(sp?) are world known for their quality, ease of repair and usefulness. All products are made in China now, they`ve had some QC problems before, but seems to have got on top of this years back. Their outer fabric was used(membrane less) in the Arctic Ocean 2000...

    Cheap Smock from Endicotts

Really like the look of this Anorak! Traditional design, and the fabric should be pretty hard wearing. Wondering about the hood. It seems it could easily be modified by putting a wire in it, and sewing velcro around the edges one could attatch(sp?) fur and have a good winter smock...

BCUK Ventile Jacket - a short review

Looks great! Some nitpicking from a gear freak... Anychance for a picture of it fully zipped(how much does the collar cover your face)? Does that zipper snag your beard? How is the hood? As good as a Norrøna one? Pic? All those seams doesnt make it leaky? Close up piccy? The...

    Ventile: Which Cut?

Good idea! The only downside of Event is its abrasion durability have I heard. Are you going to wear the Ventile in town or in the bush/wilderness? Make it long so you can use it as a walking jacket, arctic anojacket and wilderness jacket.
