Hi Jamie Great idea! I'm in 2 minds whether lighter or darker for the handle though the lighter colour does look good. Have you thought about having a tapered tang to lighten the knife a little and help it balance? Cheers Jon

As Dougster says, you will knacker the edge somewhat. Why not file the spine flat to give you a nice 90 degree angle and use that. Works great for me and doesn't damage the working bit. Joff
