A great meet as usual. It was good seeing old and new friends again.

Thanks Phil for facilitating it and Elines for your tarp over the communal fire :)

Now... when's the next one? :lmao:

Yes - great weekend.

This time I need to give particular thanks to

Lee for the impromptu knife sharpening lesson - I may finally have got the hang of this mystic art;

Martin, Mesquite and Cliff for help with the tarp

Mesquite for the jay feathers - perhaps one day I will manage to find my own!

Wayland for the info on LARPers - never knew such things existed (for those who have also not heard of this before here is a link that I found by internet search - don't know know if it is 'the best' but will give you an idea of what it is all about http://www.live-roleplaying.co.uk/?gclid=CKjY6pKRtKwCFU0ntAodJ2EHxg)

Decorum for organising (I'm trying to convince myself it wouldn't be the same withouit his 'jokes' but somehow can't quite get there):)

Everyone for making it such a great time

Hope I will be able to cope with the January meet!

EDIT - just realised I can' t make 27 - 29 January - I am organising a 'Whiskey evening' for that weekend - bit rash of me as I have never done one before)

Thanks for Phil for arranging this one. I had a great and relaxing time although brief :)

Great to see everyone again, just wish I could have staid longer but duty called.

Thanks to Lee for my lovely leather work :)

And great to meet Tody and the Scotish contigent who travelled south of the border to visit little old us and the TORM.

We will remember them.

I've been raving at poor trev about how fab its been with TORM and you all putting up with a noobs frequent mistakes, kindly correcting or pointing out with humour.... you're such fine folk. My Youngling and me have had a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for the pics Martin. Another great set up and amazing snap as always round your corner. Patra's a new one on me, I'm on a mission to find it now! Thanks to Phil for making it happen and to Chris for bringing his tarp for all to use. The weather was brilliant and the TORM was a laugh. Thanks for the lift Sally! Good stuff all round, shame the next one will be in 2012! Great to see everyone again...

( Now that life has slowed a little and I've finally caught up with myself  )

Thanks to all who turned out and made for another great weekend  ~ it was good to catch up with the usual suspects, those who are swiftly becoming almost like the furniture and also to meet new faces :) .

A good wedge of attendees disappearing to enjoy TORM and now know why I arrange the November Meet to coincide with the event ;) :lmao:. It was good to catch up with Mary and Russ. Mary, you're a star :thankyou: and I hope you both enjoyed your trip out to visit us.

... I am organising a 'Whiskey evening' for that weekend ...

?? A 48 hour whiskey evening ?? :yikes: :notworthy . Oh, and have you worked out what we had done to your chair yet?

... and you all putting up with a noobs frequent mistakes, kindly correcting or pointing out with humour....

Have you not noticed the mickey taking when when one of us supposedly experienced bods has an embarrassing fail ;) . It's also common for us to ask each other the really bone questions so that we can take best advantage of what someone else is trying to do  .

Thank you kindly for the welcomes :D
TORM's well worth a visit anyway, but it was great to finally put faces and voices to names from the forum :approve:  and to meet up and spend time with those folks we already knew as well :)

Rough Close is beautiful :) even after just that short visit I can see why it's such a favourite camp site for many of you.

If you get up our neck of the woods, give us a call ?

cheers,
M
