Little bit more work on the feet

Assembled the phalanges and distal phalanges l, drilled and pinned and now waiting for the glue to dry.

I have some feet bones missing. One distal phalange on a rear foot, and 2 distal phalanges and one dew claw on a front foot. Not sure how to deal with that yet, I will probably just ‘leave’ them as missing.

laying out the front feet to get the bones in order. I have no idea if I have all the phalanges in the right places they would originally have been. I just went for how they felt if that makes sense…

laying out the front foot carpals and phalanges.

Great stuff, I've never seen a reconstruction before, it's fascinating.

Spotted a roadkill polecat today but the road was too busy to stop :( - I get away with skulls but the missus wouldn't put up with a full skeleton anyway.

Havent done much with this recently but I have corrected the rotated foot I had assembled incorrectly, and made a start on the front left wrist and foot.
Significantly harder than the rear legs and this is where I am up to, 1 wrist assembled. Only took 1.5hrs :/ and I am still not convinced it’s correct

Most skeleton collections are kept in a closet. Just as well.
My daughters were perfectly well adjusted to play with bones , and assemble anatomical models in my lab. They had not learned nor understood the word "microscope." To them, the instrument was a "looker."

I am delighted to watch your adventures in anatomy.
