Does the Royal family have a last name?
Today I have seen on the helmet tab of Prince Harry.. "Wales"
Is this this his tittle or last name.

King George V changed the family name from 'Saxe-Coburg Gotha' to the less German sounding 'Windsor' during the First World War.

Prince Phillip took the surname 'Mountbatten', an anglicised version of his mother's name 'Battenberg'.

Their children's (Princes Charles, Edward, Andrew and Princess Anne) 'official' surnames are 'Mountbatten-Windsor', which may or may not be used by their children (like William and Harry) as they see fit. Their surnames don't really come into play until they get married and they have to put something on the banns.

Oops. Posted this in the wrong thread by mistake. Here it is anyway.

I seem to remember Will Wales and Harry Wales were what they were called at Eton for some reason. I don't see why it's any better or different to Will Windsor or Harry Windsor, but I think that carried on into what they're called in the Army.

That would be because his full official title is:

His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales
