Wild Pigs (NZ)

Apologise for delay in getting these pics up, but it's been a very dry summer (worst drought in 70 years!) which made tracking very hard, coupled with hunters 'removing' several of my subjects :( So I had to wait for a new 'crop' to move in.

These tracks are 'mum' and what is probably last years offspring, there's a randy boar hanging around but he always seems to be a day or two behind the sow. I'll let the pics tell the story...

They tend to use regular routes, especially when crossing open areas like roads, this is a typical crossing looking from the road up a small rise into the undergrowth:

This is the classic "Rooting" pig sign that everyone will recognise, this is on the river flat
