Built this today. It was pretty cozy with a canvas tarp thrown over it. Took about four hours. Be interesting to see how many years it lasts, and which part fails first. Indians around here used to make shelters like these and use them seasonally, leaving the frames in place and taking the bark or skin roofing materials with them when they moved from the mountains to the seacoast and back. They also made raised beds by planting forked sticks in the ground. I think I'll add one of those and use it this deer season.

Looks great :)

I have had them last years, especially when using willow or hazel and the planted shoots start to take root and grow ;)

Nice work, I bet that will be cosy as you say once tarped up and the fire on.
These sort of shelters last a couple of years until a bit of maintenace is required due to rotting cordage or the sticks becoming brittle as they age or get knocked.
