Having a sort out and I found a box.

A whole load of old white metal figures of mine. They have no use and i waswondering what to do with the metal.

What would you do?

You could add some lead and turn it into solder. (But you would have to calculate the amount needed carefully for consisten results)

Go to an antique shop closeby and see if they are interested in buying. You might be surprised!

As you do not know the alloy, it might contain lead already, I would only work with it in a garage or similar, not in the kitchen.

What I would do if I wanted to make something?

A 'primitive' cup, using Lost Wax technique.

Sell them. Are they old 40k?

You should assume that they contain lead unless you remember who cast them and can find out the alloy that was used.

Citadel switched to lead-free alloy in 1997.

Incidentally, I found a little bag of 15mm (I think) scale English Civil War pikemen, unpainted, in a drawer in the workshop, a couple of days ago.

No, these are not Citadel. (I would be delighted if they were) just some 70s historical figures, poor casts to begin with, and rather worn to boot.

I wouldnt propose melting down good stuff.
