what to use?

i would like to get something to use for knifemaking but dont have much money to spend
i was thinking on getting a cheap bench grinder, but they are hard to grind a straight bevel with, but can that be sorted out using files.
or should i just get an angle grinder?:confused:

i have a cheap angle grinder
a power file with a adjustable guide bolted on, its a b&d powerfile and the guide is made from some old meccano :D , the proper stuff, not like the plastic ****e today ( ill get a pic later)
and set of metal work files
plus the various workshop/shed accessories ( folding work bench, clamps, sheet sandpaper, sharpening stones/blocks etc etc)
