What things do you plan for winter scout troop nights?

we had started making knives, but the last couple of weeks have been called off coz nobody could get up the hill into the village 
Doing knots blindfold, knot racing, blanket toss (over the rafters), british bulldogs, first aid practice (handy after blanket toss and bulldogs 
) practise lighting primus stoves and make a brew, tug of war, compare kit lists, practise doing lashings and frapping turns, practise packing a rucksack, study maps, learn theory basics of map and compass, look at samples of rocks and minerals, make french arrows etc etc; these were the sort of things we did C1975

another good thing to do is practise sea navigation because i was in sea scouts and thats something we did also rope making and other stuff like that
