I surprised myself by not just putting them in the shed and forgetting about them, but actually making something ( with one at least, so far...).
I got a Roe Deer antler and lopped a bit off the end, and then drilled a 10mm hole 5mm deep to hold the steel. A bit of Araldite later, and voila:
I've made the antler handle slightly longer that standard, to accommodate my oversize mitts. The next one that I make will have a cord hole in it, so I can hang it around my neck.
