Just bought a nice billhook at a market. Little overpriced, but it's good quality. However, it is for my wife & a bit heavy. Anyone got a smaller one they'd part with, please?

Ive got a billhook blade but

a) Its back in Cornwall; will be away a couple of weeks

b) It needs a new handle and a lot of work.

That would be fantastic, thank you.

Not worried about handle and condition, the one I've just bought (a military Cornelius Whitehouse 1940) needed a lot of filework on the spine and cutting edge. It's now like a razor (save a few deep nicks) but still pretty hefty. Handle is cracked but still feels solid - I'll replace it if it breaks.

The two on the bottom left are billhook type things. Both antique/vintage age and English made. I gave them a clean up but haven't gotten round to fixing any handles..

Open to trades etc. :)

Or..

Marples socket handle double bevel billy. Needs a handle, or can actually be used as is tbh. Haven't gotten round to making a handle due to.. laziness? lol

Again open to trades etc , pm me if you;re interested.

I have a large quantity of furniture leather which is good for soft pouches etc. I can also supply willow cuttings or cold, hard cash :)

Oh, I wont want much; I didnt pay much and its in dire (but savable) condition.

No doubt when you have ground off the pitting it will indeed be lightweight!

Ill put it on my `todo` list when I get back.
