How small are you after? Film canisters have worked well for me for small things, plastic boxes wrapped in tape for slightly bigger stuff.

I have plenty of film cans and zip lock bags for really wee stuff

And if you don't have much money, you can make sea sickness bands, with elastic and old buttons that you put on your wrists. They work well, but are just physocological I think.
