Dear all,

A neighbour has a crab apple tree that is loaded with fruit but she does not plan to use the fruit.

I have asked if I can harvest some of the apples.

Does anyone have any advice or guidance or recipes they are prepared to share, please?

All the best.

Edit; Beaten to it :D

It makes good jam and jelly. BR's and (can't mindhisnamerightnow, Scout leader, not Shewie, but something like that) makes cider every year :). both do the cidery things with them too.
Good for chutney, hedgerow wines (need a lot of clearing though) and pickle juice.

cheers,
Toddy

If you still have rowans DocG then rowan and apple jelly is very good indeed.
