Just been looking at this Kickstarter and I rather like it. I know there's been some folding kayaks for a while but these are nicely done, the portability has got to be good thing...

Mmm... does that really count as a kayak? it's a totally open cockpit - but I guess you are sitting (but then I am in the canoe these days ). I like the convenience though. I must admit loading the canoe on and off the Landy roofrack is getting painful.

The best boat is definitely the one you use. It is sucha faff loading the boat in the car, especially at the end with tired arms.

Ah, but I made a coracle last year (still to test it mind) that's a fraction of the weight and size of my canoe (can't say I'd want to go down the Spey in it though).

I take it you mean a BMW not a Series 3 Land Rover? - it may be a tight fit but possibly! It's about 1.4m x 1m x 0.4m L,W,H.
