Ticks on the news

Seems that's the news have had a push on tick awareness this morning.

Ticks are hardly news to most dog owners. Still people need educating then it's good to be a good thing. Lymes is a serious infection and prevention is always better than cure.

I use Advocate on the hounds. I ensure I carry tick removal tools in all my FAKs and check myself each evening before bed when in the woods.

Bit off topic but can you only get advocate from the vets?

it would appear on the UK it's a prescription only medication.
