Hello Bobby,
I am afraid you are unlikely to get an answer from Jake, his profile shows that he has not visited the site for over seven years. This thread hasn't had any activity for just over 13 years.

Have you seen this thread?

Personally I use a version of what is shown in post 3 of that thread. Usually single strand 2mm line now. The exception being my Zing-It ridge line, which seems to be too slick for anything other than Prussic knots. In any case, I have two Zing-It soft shackles Prussic looped to that, and plastic rings on the tarp that allow easy attachment. I still prefer having short lengths of line on the tarp and using quick release knots to the ridge. Find them easier and faster to both put up and take down.

I am not sure that the knot I use has any advantage over a slippery tautline hitch, per
I think it is a little easier to release and is easier to tie when the line is attached to a tarp since all the wraps are away from the tarp, no doubling back. The way it grips is a bit different though. Where the tautline bunches up and puts a single kink in the main line, the knot I use spreads out and causes the main line to spiral a bit.

All the best

Hey Chris,

Yeah. Wondered whether I’d get a response considering the age of the thread.

Appreciate the advice and links you shared though.

Much obliged bud.

All the best.
