For those who are interested in an alternative to the Tapatalk app on Android, that doesn't leak personal info, there is code for a working app on Github that has recently been pulled from the Play Store for legal issues: https://github.com/abartmatozu/forum-fiend-osp. Compiles very easily though I did notice one issue that can be fixed by adding
to the AndroidManifest.xml. There is an APK already on the Internet compiled by the original developer, from around the time that Tapatalk told him he couldn't use their API to make money from customised forum apps, nor even publish code that would allow anybody to use the API: http://apps.ape-apps.com/forum-fiend-osp.
