Finished this off yesterday, it needs a little cleaning but is very sharp and is good to go.
quite pleased with the outcome, going to let my bimble buddies try it out later this week.

The spalted beech came from a log a friend gave me some while back, I cut the log into sections so as to dry it out faster and leave pieces in a warm place so as to speed up the process.
@milus The blade is a polar one, they come blackened except for the grind edge so I clean and polish them up and also work the spine so it is a mirror finish.

Nice to see something with a chunky handle. Looks stunning! I'll have to check out Polar blades now and explain to swimbo why I need another blade....
