Slow worm?

Out for a walk this afternoon with eldest son and we spotted this:







It was about 20cm long, I think it's a slow worm. Images no the greatest, we only had phones with us - fail.
Some other people on the path nearly trod on it, they didn't see it.

That's a slow worm alright

We've got loads of them obout round my way at the moment

First one I've seen for a while, tend not to see too many of them up here. It just stayed there lying in the sun. Wasn't bothered by us in close proximity. Moved off after the other people walking their dogs passed.
