Did I change something or is there a section in the control panel to change the format of when a reply was posted to a thread?

It used to say the time and date now it says how long ago it was posted by minutes, hours, days etc.

Just wondered.

Well spotted ;-) ..... no you havn't changed anything. The time of the post is now reported in days since posted (or hours and minites if less than a day) instead of a date and time when posted.

I agree.... much easier than trying to work out how many days ago a post was posted.
