I recently ordered some press-studs from leprevo and the appropriate tool (the one they said I would need), but I just don't get it. I'm sure they've sent me the wrong tool, it has an anvil and a punch that has an end just like the anvil. It just doen't make sense and it doesn't look like any of the tools shown in the diagram on the leprevo site.

I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this. Please correct me if I'm being dim, or if someone could post a picture of what the tool should look like I would be grateful. The press-studs I'm using are the small spring 13mm ones.

Sounds like you've been sent the rivet tool (It's the kind used for riveting two bits of leather together at stress points). The tool you need has a wee pointy bit at the end for folding over the stud to lock it onto it's other part. Give them a ring and explain. They really are helpful. (Jed might be the best guy to speak to).

As Eric said it sounds like they have sent you the rivet setting tool. This Is a link

This is the setting tool for your press studs, the link

I think someone has misread something as the setting tool you want is the T14 and the tool that they sent you is the T19, in the wrong light possible to mistake one for the other. Phone them up and say to them. They are normally very helpful.
