Few weeks back I went in search of my third Rob Roy's cave. This turned out to be the easiest to find due to it being on the West Highland Way and having a sign post showing the way.
On the way there I took a detour up into the hills and found a nice wee sheltered area that would make an Ideal camp
It also had a nice view
Spotted goats on my adventure again
A look back towards the camp area
A view across Loch Lommond to the hydro station
This way maybe?
Very rocky at the end of the path and through the trees I seen the give away CAVE painted on the rocks
Plenty of opportunities for a twisted or broken ankle on the way
All around the cave there is small cave type formation due to the fallen rocks
This little opening in the ground just at the cave entrance opened up to quite a size. It looks just like the rest of the little rock formations but does open something like a 3-4m cubed area. Defo a bit dodgy if covered by leafs or snow
The cave is right next to the Loch shore
The entrance to the cave. I only had my mobile so couldn't get any decent pictures inside the cave
So that's Rob Roy's cave at Loch Lomond, Loch Ard and Loch Voil (Inversnaid) all explored now is there any more?
I'll need to google and see what I can find
