Recycling old plastic drink bottles into cordage

Stumbled across this today, hope its not been posted about before but a simple tool can convert old drink bottles into a form or cordage.
Certainly an interesting idea may have a go at building the jig. And it's not in English btw but the video explains it all.

The various slots on the bracket are to determine the actual width of the cord and a snap-off type utility knife is secured onto the leading edge of the slot so it cuts into the bottle.

I have a similar gadget for cutting thonging from leather - the idea is sound!
I like the idea of heat shrinking the cut cordage to fit the project :)
I must get an extension lead for my hot air gun .. long enough to reach my bushy site!
