Practical Shotgun Greater Yorkshire area?

Any one know of a club or range where I can have a go at practical shotgun in the Greater Yorkshire area (AKA north of England)? I want to try it first before joining a club.

You'll struggle to just have a go, if you do manage you'll be limited to a 3 shot.

Yeah I know about the 3 shot. Already got my sgc and I can borrow a section 2 semi-auto. Just going to have to reload fast

Your best bet would be to do a "basic course" you'll put a ton of lead down and learn safe techniques. Look up the courses on the ukpsa website

Nope not at all, I'm near Selby.

the site where we have the Yorkshire bimonthly meet at stead hall farm has its own rifle range http://www.steadhallfirearms.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=18 give John a ring or come to next meet its right by the range. If you cant use his facilities I bet he can tell you where to get sorted.

Well I'd be happy to take you on our PSG range there at some point if you like - they also run UKPSA safety courses now and again which means you get your section 1 permission pretty much without question

Clearly the only way to experience it properly is to go to a match as we assemble courses of fire, obstacles etc. and take them down after the match, but I can let you have a try at falling steels etc. at any point

Mattersey RPC also does PSG and has its own huge quarry range with forest.

They also do Bianchi, the old pistol turning target 'shorts', FBI 1500, Speed Steels, etc.
