please school me on crooked knives...

hello all, I'd love to start to up my whittling by adding a crooked knife but I have some questions....

first up

- Hook knife or crooked knife, same thing?

- Is it pronounced Crook-id with 2 sylables or crookd with 1 sylable

-Mora seem to make 3 different knives:

with slighlty different blades, can anyone suggest what they do differently?

I'd draw a difference between a spoon knife, designed for hollowing out and a crooked knife which can function as a one handed draw knife.
I'd imagine the pronunciation is the 2 syllable version as it seems more standard nowadays.
I'd also recommend Mocataugan - a book on the subject.
