New posting of knives legislation proposed

Apologies if everyone knows this already but just found this article from a few weeks ago saying the government is now seeking to ban the postage of knives to private addresses and instead they will have to be collected in person with id.

its a proposal and hasn't even had a consultation yet

a lot could change including political direction

certainly in London the focus has switched to caustic substances - I see a ban on them for under 18's going through first

I also have to wonder with the political turmoil surrounding the EU at the moment will anything get passed?
