Hello folks
I've always been in to camping if that be with cubs scouts and army cadets or with friends. Over the last 3 or 4 years have gotten back in to it and been out in the wood's a lot this last year. I've been talking to a few others from Peterborough on Instagram and I'm hoping there are more from around the Peterborough area so we can do a meet up and really enjoy the bushcraft community.

Hi from West Sussex. You have a hidden gem in Peterborough you know? They used to be based here in West Sussex, and know just about everything about paraffin and petrol lamps, lanterns, heaters etc.

If that sort of lighting is your thing, go and see them. Take a sandwich, they chat for hours

Hi no I didn't but that's good to know as my dad gave me his 40 year old lamp a few weeks ago from the back of his shed so will pop in and get them to have a look and see if it's safe to use.

Hello there, see you live in Peterborough, so just thought I'd ask you if you know of anywhere you are allowed to wild camp and have a fire etc on an overnighter near Peterborough?. Just about every place I've tried around here is Private and not interested. I usually do hikes, wild camping and use some bushcraft skills when I go home to the Highlands on trips and hikes etc over the last 30 plus years, but looking for somewhere local I can keep my hand in between these trips home to the Highlands. I am a big believer in the "Leave NO Trace" policy.
