I really like these neck knives

But the maker is in Australia :sulkoff: thus bumping up the price with the shipping

Any one know of any UK makers with a similar style??

Oh!! on the top one there is a little notch at the hilt end of the blade. What is this for??

There are many custom makers on BB who im sure could make you one in a similar style.Why dont you ask?As for that notch its called a ricasso...i think!

The little notch is there to make it easier to sharpen but some people call them fur catchers.

Yes, I made it, and the darn thing bit me! Worse, I got blood on the nicely polished wood handle and I had to re-sanding all over again!!

I make these with 2", 3" and 4" blades, with or without the little notch
