Oh as a kid there was a rain shower that cut across our long, straight, dead end lane. Nothing special except the edge of the shower was very distinct such that you could jump in and out of the rain shower.

it lasted 5 or 10 minutes. Long enough for us to get bored of waiting for it to pass so we could get home to do something else.

It also left the road light on the dry side and dark on the wet side for a good few hours afterwards.

Flying into NY once, just as evening was falling, below us there were all these flat-topped pillars of cloud, each one getting lit up internally by lightning

Regular flights from London to Toronto. Flying over Greenland ... never get bored watching that or, in fact, pretty much anywhere from the air.

Seen the effect of those high altitude ice crystals a couple of times.

Aftermath of a tornado, so unlike normal high wind, trees twisted off half way up, and others left standing

Lowest and closest rainbow I have seen, driving in Colorado, struggled with camera focus.

Arguably, sunsets do not count, but sometimes clouds line up just right to create very unusual effects.
Sunrise, looking like the sun is inside the cloud

I got within 30ft of a rainbow & felt truly blessed.
Didn’t think it possible.

Not exactly phenomena but I've had a lot of close encounters with wild animals, I mean close enough to touch. In fact I convinced a blue tit to perch on my finger once.

I was coxswain of a 44'Motor lifeboat similar to the older boats the Lifeboat service there used. We were off the Farallon Islands outside of San Francisco Bay, one of the most treacherous bodies of water in the world during winter. We had successfully rendezvoused with a demasted yacht and secured an alongside tow. With both vessels marginally stable we began to evacuate everyone by stokes litter to a helicopter. In a heartbeat the ocean went still, full moon appeared and this HUGE bluewhale breached and blew hot air close enough I could almost touch it. I was torn between staring slack jawed and coordinating with the Air Survivalman the pickup.
Post service I was studying Cahuilla peoples cosmology with a elder. We're lying in sleeping bags not far from one of the remnant palm oasis on a slope looking out over miles of desert. He's explaining the names of stars and constellations. I see one moving across the darkness? 'Grandfather, what is that one?' THAT, is a communications satellite. He woke me just before sunrise. We saw the dawn approaching hundreds of miles to the east like a flood of khaki rolling back the darkness. For a moment I felt the endless stretch of time we are gifted with such a small portion of.

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt in your philosophy"
Guy in University Astronomy class tried to demean the creators of Neolithic Britain's multi purpose standing stones, burial mounds etc as 'the work of superior Aliens. Lets talk UFOs' Professor was giving a brief review of ancient to present astronomy as a fun introduction to the class. He knew I was well advanced toward my Archaeology degree and asked me to refute his nonsense. I spoke slowly. 'Every intelligent person knows they are the work of the good neighbors and you harm or cause insult to their work at your peril. He replied with a expletive filled question about what I was talking about. I sighed 'The fairy folk, fool.' He laughed, Prof quickly went on with new slides. We filed out of class to the parking lot. He started his brand new Corvette daddy bought him and the engine seized up billowing grey smoke.
WHEN we are gifted these lovely moments REMEMBER to say THANKYOU.

The 11,600yr old Shirgir Idol made from a 159yr old Larch tree and found buried in a peat bog in the Urals.... Oldest piece of work of it's kind in the World.... Made by Stone Age man to represent Ancient Alien visitors? Gobekli Tepe the oldest temple in the World but 1500yrs younger than the Shirgir Idol... Built by Ancient Aliens....? There are those that think so... But then again there are those that also think the Tooth Fairy is real too :-D

My Irish great grandmother lived in a caravan behind her daughter's house. I would walk SLOWLY with her learning the Gaelic. One day I found a buffalo head nickel. She told me 'now thank the good neighbors for their gift to ya.' She passed at 105 telling the catholic priest to 'wee off' for excommunicating her father' To this day, 60 years on my archeologist's eye is still finding coins, paper money, jewelry and even a Browning Hi Power in the bushes ( liquor store robbery) I NEVER fail to say out loud THANKYOU GOOD NEIGHBORS.
Tooth Fairy ALWAYS left me money. ALIENS? I had TO PAY to see ET, INDEPENDANCE DAY, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS. I believe in belief systems that work.
Believing ALIENS were responsible for our own accomplishments as a species is innate racism by fools.
