If you frequent British blades you may remeber this thread where Pennillion offered this blade up for sale.....

....well I was lucky enough to 'win' it (I have wanted a mascus for ages) and had plans for it as soon as I saw it
so this is what I did with it! (please don't be mad Mik! :sad6: )

Plus a before and after shot....




once again I must appologise for the poor pics - when I have made a sheath for it I WILL attempt to do better honest mum!

So what do you think peeps? - rip the handle off and give it back to Mik to redo properly? :sulkoff:

Nope, looks properly done from my eyes. A nice knife there. Can I ask whats the thing with Damascus steel anyway? I know what rumours I've heard but whats the reality?

Sometimes - but this only cost me £11

I havn't had a chance to try it in anger but it has taken a nice edge so i'm looking forward to see how it keeps it
